UNcuthu Organics was founded out of my personal journey with acne, which began at the age of 23. I experienced significant skin challenges during a time when I was transitioning between different provinces, leading to the assumption that environmental changes might be contributing factors. Despite trying various high-end skincare products, my condition only worsened. As a young woman from a previously disadvantaged background, I found it difficult to access recommended skincare solutions, which severely impacted my self-esteem and confidence. Throughout my university years, I often wished to hide my face, which affected my interactions and relationships with others.
Upon entering the workforce, I was determined to acquire the premium products and treatments that were said to help with acne. I invested in periodic treatments that offered temporary relief, but the acne would inevitably return, leading to further disappointment and diminishing my self-worth, ultimately affecting my work performance. The struggles I faced with acne motivated me to conduct extensive research in skincare, with a particular focus on acne treatment.
In developing UNcuthu Organics, I envisioned young individuals in rural areas whose self-perception is negatively impacted by their skin issues. Many of them aspire to find effective products, yet are hindered by accessibility and affordability. I aim for our products to inspire hope and resilience, encouraging individuals to believe that change is possible. I want them to see our products on store shelves and feel empowered, thinking, "If she can do it, so can I!"
UNcuthu Organics has since expanded its mission beyond acne treatment to address a variety of skin concerns, including dark spots and scars. Our vision is to restore self-love and confidence through clear, healthy, and beautiful skin.
